چکیده
Aim: To evaluate fetal thymus size using the thymic-thoracic ratio (TTR) in women with a pregnancy complicated growth restriction (FGR) and to assess relationship adverse perinatal outcomes.
Materials Method: A total of 35 pregnant FGR 42 healthy similar demographic characteristics were included this prospective study. In group, cases pathological doppler flow parameters absent end-diastolic (AEDF) an umbilical artery cerebroplacental (CPR)

The evaluation of selected indices of apoptosis in placentas from pregnancies complicated by fetal growth restriction.
BACKGROUND Fetal growth restriction is related to a high rate of prematurity and mortality. In cases of unknown origin utero-placental circulation changes are the main factor which is due to the changes in blood vessels. The understanding of the mechanism may help in further prevention of FGR. MATERIAL AND METHODS The expression of bcl-2 and bax in normal pregnancies and complicated by FGR we...
متن کاملAngiogenic growth factors in maternal and fetal serum in pregnancies complicated by intrauterine growth restriction.
The present study was performed to compare serum concentrations of maternal and fetal angiogenic growth factors in IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction) and normal pregnancy at the time of delivery. VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor), PlGF (placental growth factor), sFlt-1 (soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1), sKDR (soluble kinase domain receptor) and bFGF (basic fibroblast growth facto...
متن کاملThe effect of maternal obesity on sonographic fetal weight estimation and perinatal outcome in pregnancies complicated by fetal growth restriction.
PURPOSE Maternal obesity represents a challenge in the sonographic (US) assessment of fetal weight, and is a recognized risk factor for adverse pregnancy outcome. The objective of this secondary analysis of data from the Prospective Observational Trial to Optimize Pediatric Health in fetal growth restriction (FGR) Study (PORTO) was to describe the effect of maternal obesity on the accuracy of U...
متن کاملPregnancy Maternal Cardiovascular Impairment in Pregnancies Complicated by Severe Fetal Growth Restriction
Fetal growth restriction and preeclampsia are both conditions of placental etiology and associated to increased risk for the long-term development of cardiovascular disease in the mother. At presentation, preeclampsia is associated with maternal global diastolic dysfunction, which is determined, at least in part, by increased afterload and myocardial stiffness. The aim of this study is to test ...
